Office Hours
Are you about to start fundraising for your startup? Use this unique opportunity to receive candid feedback about your startup, your chances of fundraising and the mistakes you need to fix.
Each founder gets 10 minutes, including pitch and feedback. Bring your laptop to present your slides (even better if you have an actual product).
Unlike the Pitch Competition, the office hours are not public, so you don’t have to worry about confidentiality as much as if you were pitching on stage.
Apply
The VC office hours are open to the attendees of the Startup Conference, by selection only. You must apply ahead of time and we will confirm whether you get selected or not, and receive a timeslot. We try to match your startup’s area with the VC’s interest, to make the experience as useful as possible to you.
To apply on AngelList, follow this link and make sure to indicate that you are interested in the VC Office Hours.
Do I need to create an AngelList profile to pitch?
Yes. Even if your startup is very early and you don’t have an AngelList profile, please create a basic profile on AngelList. It’s fine to keep it private and you don’t have to provide all the data that AngelList asks for, a skeleton is enough.
How do you decide who I will meet with?
A week or so before the conference, we publish the list of investors who are offering office hours and you can sign-up for the investor that you are most interested in (first come first serve).
Do I need to buy a ticket to the conference before applying? What if I don't get selected?
You need to buy a ticket to the conference first. The VC office hours are only for attendees of the conference. Even if you don’t get selected, you should still attend the conference because it will be packed full of advice for you.
